In the book of Revelation, chapter 21, John hears a loud voice from the heavens proclaiming:
Behold! I am making all things new.
Throughout the last year, various committees and focus groups have been in discussion about necessary renovations and remodeling projects across the campus of A&M United Methodist Church. Through prayerful discernment, our leadership has determined several projects which will support A&M UMC for decades to come. We believe that now is the time: with explosive growth in membership and programming, our church is creating an atmosphere of excitement across the Northgate community and throughout the Bryan/College Station area.
It is with great excitement that we announce the 2017 Reaching Upward Growing Outward Capital Campaign. The campaign seeks to raise just over $1.8 million dollars with the goal of remodeling all of the major large living and worship spaces in our church. Throughout the months of March and April, we will be meeting with Sunday school classes and small groups to present, prayerfully consider, and pledge our support for these projects. Should you not be a member of a Sunday school class or other small group, we invite you to join us on the following dates to receive more information about the Reaching Upward Growing Outward Capital Campaign:
Sunday, March 26th at 11:00am Presentation in the Great Hall (includes lunch)
Wednesday, April 5th at 5:30pm Presentation in the Great Hall (includes dinner)
Since July, 2016, one hundred and twenty one new members have joined our congregation, and initial projections for 2017 look to follow the same trajectory. With this accelerated church growth, we hope you will eagerly join the congregation as we meet the rising needs of our church. This campaign will be fueled by each member, all of us together, opening our doors to bring others in to experience God with us.
We know God has a hand in the growth that we are experiencing here in our church. We invite you to these events as we pledge to renew our church home to glorify Him. Please be in prayer as we commit to this exciting new project; a project that is closely bound to our church mission: “To invite and equip followers of Jesus Christ.”
