A&M United Methodist Church believes in the power of prayer.
Jesus himself asks us in James 5:6 to "Pray one for another."
A healthy prayer life is key to developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through diligent and intentional prayer, we can find ultimate peace and joy.

How Do I Pray?
Pick a time (morning, noon or night) and a place that you can use each day and a place that will be quiet for 20 minutes while you pray.
To begin - Bow your head and push out the thoughts of the world and focus on Him. This is the tough part - because it is easy for minds to stray to the issues schedules and challenges of our life and not focus.
To help you focus you may want to begin by praying - The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13), or some other scripture, Psalm or prayer.
Then lift up to Him each of your concerns.
As your prayer time comes to an end - Thank Him for His presence in your life, His love, and His many blessing and for listening to your prayer requests.
Prayer Ministry Opportunities
The Prayer Team meets in the Prayer Chapel on Tuesdays at 2:30 pm. During this time, the group prays for the prayer concerns of the individuals, the church and for the community. All are welcome to join in the prayer opportunity.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
The men of A&M UMC gather for the Men's Prayer Breakfast on the 4th Wednesday of each month (August-May) at 7:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Men need more nourishment than just a hearty breakfast. Fortify your week by breaking biscuits with men that focus on our Lord and Savior. Mark your calendar for Men's Prayer Breakfast and invite a buddy. It's important...to Him and to You. God is Great! All the Time!
